Huntington Beach, CA – Tuesday, April 03, 2018 at 9:52 P.M. the Huntington Beach Police Department received calls regarding an accident involving a U-Haul Truck vs. a Bicyclist.
The bicycle was a motorized cycle. The driver of the U-Haul remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Firefighters and Paramedics with the Huntington Beach Fire Department attended to the cyclist who laid on the street. He was transported to an area hospital for further treatment and evaluation.
According to Huntington Beach Police Watch Commander LT. Heiser, "the cyclist sustained several injuries to include possible broken bones and neither alcohol nor other controlled substances appeared to have contributed to this incident."
The collision took place at the 300 block of 17th St cross with Olive Ave.
No other information was obtained at the scene.
