    Drunk Driver Runs DUI Checkpoint Wanted for Hit and Run

    Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 10:42 p.m.  a male Drunk Driver failed to stop at a DUI/Driver’s License Checkpoint on Limonite Ave and Beach St in Jurupa Valley, CA.

    Riverside County Deputies conducting the checkpoint instructed the man to stop however, the driver failed to comply and continued on its way westbound on Limonite Ave from Beach St. A female deputy ran to a patrol unit located nearby and followed the white Chevy sedan.

    The man was eventually pulled over down the road and a male Deputy transported him back to the checkpoint. When deputies ran the plate, it was revealed that the vehicle was wanted for a Hit-and-Run that had taken place in the City of Riverside.

    An Officer with the Riverside Police Department arrived at the checkpoint at about 11:58 p.m. to interview the man. The driver was later transported away in a Riverside County Sheriff’s Unit.

    No other information was obtained at the scene.
