Riverside, CA – Sunday, January 21, 2018 at 12:52 a.m. as news reporter’s arrived and stopped at the intersection of Van Buren Blvd and Indiana Ave, we noticed an altercation that was taking place between four occupants of a black Chevy Silverado pickup truck and at least four other individuals who later drove away from the gas station without lights in two separate vehicles to include a dark in color small SUV and a red sedan. It appeared that the suspects purchased several 12 packs of bottled Bud Light beer from the USA gas station and at some point they became agitated for an unknown reason with the occupants of the truck and an altercation ensued.
One of the occupants of the black SUV was captured on video as he tossed what appeared to be a large ice-bag at the truck. At some point another suspect broke the rear right window of the truck with an unknown object. Pieces of broken bottles were scattered on the floor to the left of the truck.
The suspects departed almost immediately after the altercation before the police arrived.
The victims in the truck departed as an Officer with the Riverside Police Department was arriving at the scene.
The officer was not able to catch up to the victim’s vehicle and due to the fact that there’s no victim the Officer was not able to conduct a criminal investigation even though both license plates of the alleged suspect vehicles were obtained.
The occupants of the Chevy Silverado are encouraged to contact the Riverside Police Department at (951) 354-2007
