SPRING, TX (KTRK) —
Regina Davies is on a mission because she's a heartbroken mother.
"He's my boy and I miss him terribly," Davies said.
Greg Davies was 22 years old with a passion for auto mechanics. He had just been in accident last December in his beloved Chevy nova so he was walking to his girlfriend's house along Aldine Westfield.
"Just minding his own business," Davies said.
Someone hit him and left him to die.
"I think they're a rotten, rotten person. Who could do such a thing and not stop to help somebody?" Davies said.
Everyday in the 3 months since his death, Davies visits a cross placed 200 yards from the site of her son's death.
"It was the safest place his friends could find for a memorial," Davies said.
Davies doesn't want Greg's case to fade with his killer still out there but has also become keenly aware of other fatal hit and runs. It happens too often.
"There are so many people being hit by cars," she said.
According to investigators, the person who killed Greg was driving a dark 1996-1998 Audi A-4. It would have had damage to the undercarriage.
Davies is convinced somebody knows something.
"They're out there living their life and my son's in a box," she said.
So she'll continue on her mission until the person who killed her boy is caught.
"I'm not going to quit, my family's not going to quit," she said.
Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for any information called in to the 713-222-TIPS (8477) or submitted online at www.crime-stoppers.org that leads to the filing of felony charges or arrest of the suspect in this case.
