Party Bus Van Re-Ignites On Tow Truck Hours After First Fire Involving Fatal Accident In Winchester, CA
Menifee, CA – Sunday, December 3, 2017 at 8:17 p.m. a red party bus van re-ignited with fire hours after it was involved in a fatal collision vs a motorcycle in Winchester, CA on Winchester Road and Scott Road.
A flat bed tow truck with Brothers towing was transporting the van northbound on the I-215 freeway just north of Scott Road in Menifee, CA when the driver of the tow truck was alerted by another motorist of the fire.
The tow truck operator said, after he was informed, he stopped on the right shoulder and quickly removed the van from the tow truck and moved the truck forward to a safe distance.
Firemen with CalFire, Riverside County Fire Departments and an Officer with the California Highway Patrol responded to the scene. Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames within minutes after their arrival. No injuries were reported at this scene.
According to news photographers at the scene, the van was involved in a fatal accident with a motorcyclist in Winchester, CA earlier during the day at around 5:43 p.m.
According to an online news article, the Party Bus Van had caught fire at the first incident as well.
